Poly Pipe’s production line has been purchased from Unicor-Germany, which is the most advanced manufacturer of 5-layer pipe machines in the world. Poly Pipe which is situated in Zahedan, is currently producing its pipes according to ASTM F1282 & DIN4721 and by owning one of the most modern and equipped laboratories in the middle east, Poly Pipe has become a leading company in manufacturing and testing these types of pipes in the region. |

| Features of Poly Pipe |
|

Production Process:
The production process of these pipes consists of extruding, welding and cooling. There are 3 extruders in this process, which 2 of them, extrude the Polymer layers, and the third one is responsible for extruding the bonding layers (adhesive layers). In this pipe, the inner and outer layers are both made out of polymer, and these 2 layers are bonded to an aluminum core, by 2 adhesive layers. The pipe is then cooled downstream and after being checked by three very accurate cameras, it will be formed as a coil and ready to be dispatched.
The speed of this production line is nearly 4 times greater than the other similar machines in the world.
A Multi-layer pipe is basically a metallic pipe that is tightly bonded to an inner plastic pipe and an outer plastic coating. |

Ultrasonic Welding:
The heart of the production line at Poly Pipe, is a combined unit with which an aluminum band is transformed into an over-lapped, ultrasonically welded aluminum pipe. The Ultrasonic Welding technique is undoubtedly, the most secure and tight welding, present in industry. |

| Poly Pipe’s Fittings |
|
The Poly Pipe’s Fittings consist of heat-treated, stress-free, nickel-plated special brass.
An important precondition for the fitting concept is the permanent tightness for the concealed installation. Poly Pipe offers its pipes with two different types of fittings: 1) Thread Fittings 2) Press Fittings. |

Thread Fittings:
The Poly Pipe Thread Fitting program for dimensions 14 to 32 mm is designed in a way allowing the use for all applications with one consequently structured assortment. The basic assortment is one and the same for all applications. In this type of fitting, the compression is by means of tightening the swivel nut, and its advantage over Press Fittings is that the fitting can be opened by simply removing the swivel nut. Also it requires much cheaper tools and accessories in comparison to Press ones. |

Press Fittings:
This is fairly a new technique in the concept of fittings. Insulation material can be laid over the fittings without interruption. Also, in these fittings when using T-joints and elbows, the insulation material can be applied without necessity of changing to larger diameters.
Also, in these fittings, the Stainless steel pressure sleeve is tightly fixed to the fittings’ O-rings from mechanical damages during transport and handling.
Press fittings are available for all application occurring in practice, for all dimensions ranging from 14 up to 32 mm. |

| Quality of Poly Pipe |
|
|
Poly Pipe with minimal wall thickness feature reaches excellent pressure load characteristics because of the interior continuously welded aluminum pipe. Regular burst pressure tests with over 80 bar nominal pressure prove the uniform quality.
Poly Pipe is subjected to permanent strict controls by neutral test institutes such as WRAS, University of Manchester and University of Colorado, etc. as well as own factory testing laboratories. Different tests are regularly carried out in the laboratory on the pipes, including: Tensile, Pressure, Burst, Rupture and MFI, etc. Aside from these continuous laboratory tests, each coil of Poly Pipe is pressure-tested at a rating of 10 bars and long-time rupture strength tests are carried out in order to determine the long term durability. This guarantees the safety of function for a life-time over 50 years. Furthermore, to guarantee the quality of pipe connections, tensile strength tests of pipes with fittings are regularly carried out.
On the other hand, Poly Pipe production line operates in accordance with the latest achievements in computer and extrusion technologies. Moreover, Poly Pipe has obtained different certificates and approvals including WRAS certificate of quality and a few other quality standards from Iranian institutions. Poly Pipe is also hoping to obtain more approvals from other countries in the near future.
